Tucked away in a remote spot in the Cadiz mountains is Ubrique, the height of luxury craftsmanship and home of world-class "Made in Spain" leather goods In this trip to Ubrique we wanted to capture the authenticity of the handcrafted and local goods made in our factory in order to showcase the value and the story behind each handbag, as well as the sheer quality of their raw material.
Some of the steps involved in the making process include leather sectioning, hand cutting, the use of a patacabra (a specialized wooden tool used to treat leather by beating it), the machine sewing of every piece followed by the polishing stage, among others.
On the day of our visit, we chose to learn more about the handcrafted manufacturing process of our iconic Positano Cuero handbag from start to finish. We can´t wait to go back and be let in on more secrets behind the rest of the creation process!
This town in the South-East region of Murcia is the home of jute production in Spain, and where, for over six years, Mint & Rose has been manufacturing all of its espadrille collections. Known as "the golden fibre", natural jute is 100% biodegradable and recyclable which makes it totally environmentally-friendly.
All models are handmade in our factory with a design based on Mediterranean living carefully adapted to suit an urban lifestyle. The craftsmen’s expertise as well as their precision and care in every step of the creation process made us aware of just how unique all final products are once they leave the factory.
